We helped to inform the UKTI's 2020 growth programme by allowing businesses to share their ideas and pitches to make exporting effortless for future business.
In July 2015, the UKTI’s former Chief Executive Dominic Jermey invited the UK business community for ideas to double UK exports by 2020. This one-day exercise spanning nine design-led workshops across the UK amassed nearly 300 members and 100 ideas, informing UKTI’s 2020 growth programme. Ideas and video pitches from the business community were uploaded to the UKTI Made Open community.
Behind the scenes, Made Open developed the brand identity, accompanying materials and short-film which introduced the workshops chllenge: “How can we make exporting effortless for future business?”.
Robert Woolf facilitated the South West event. Here’s what one participant had to say about the event.
UKTI utilised the unique and powerful features of the Made Open platform for digital jamming. This allowed people from around the UK and beyond to contribute digitally. The bespokely branded platform allowed working groups to upload their video pitches at the end of the day to UKTI’s challenge.
“During the whole day ideas and conversations were also happening on the Export Jam Made Open website, a very simple but very effective discussion platform. It allowed people not at the events to take part and the ideas in the room to be captured.” Dan Martin, Enterprise Nation
