Our platform connects people directly to their communities … with a gentle guiding hand from supporting organisations.
Ultra-local activities and clubs run by community groups and small voluntary organisations are the lifeblood of communities, so why then are community directories often updated by local authorities or larger organisations on their behalf?
Our platform offers a way for community members to post their own support services, social groups or events; allowing others to find out what’s available in their community and in a way that matches their interests or needs.
Asset-based community development (ABCD) is about tapping into the resources, skills and experiences that are already available in a community. But can you imagine embracing a stranger you’ve only just met? It’s important to get to know people first.
Our platform provides a safe space for every individual, group or organisation to offer or request help to or from each other. We have built on established timebanking principles that rewards each exchange and added to it by drawing attention to the skills that people have to offer.
Every community needs a helping hand be it in the form of attracting volunteers, raising money, borrowing equipment or even sharing ideas and opinions. But where can your community ask for all of these things in one place?
Our platform helps any community member to crowdsource these things – helping them to enlist the services and strengths of people and businesses in their community – at the same time developing a network of social interactions and support.
Families and communities are under pressure, and it’s difficult for people to provide support to each other that was normal a generation ago. Meanwhile, governments no longer have the financial or physical resources to deal with issues by themselves. What can be done?
Our platform provides a ‘go to’ place for communities to take the lead in fixing problems. Members can form project action teams, share documents, discuss plans, assign tasks, message each other and manage their actions – all within a private collaboration space.
The whole is often greater than the sum of its parts, and this is so true when it comes to supporting communities. Our platform offers a way for platform partners to launch and manage campaigns that support community-wide priorities.
This works by pooling together all of the community activities and community members who have an interest in supporting a particular campaign, irrespective of how they choose to do so.
